Third Annual Jag-Lovers Picnic

(June/2002) This was our first time to the picnic in the 140, and our first trip more than 15 miles as well. Overall it was a great trip. 250+ miles with the 3.8 never missing a beat, handles great thanks to Classic Jaguar uprated torsion bars, springs and sway bar, and new Spax shocks. My new racing seats from Bassett's are exceptionally comfortable, although make graceful ingress/egress a bit challenging. Only have three real problems now. It still runs hotter than I'd like. I'm going to start by getting a new temp send unit, and have the gauge calibrated. Front end alignment/balancing needs work Brakes still aren't as firm as I'd like, although they do stop the car which is a definite improvement. I'll probably have the master cyl rebuilt. Other than that the car was perfect. As usual the event itself was wonderful. There were a total of 5 XKs there, a whole herd of E-types, several sedans, and a few cool non-jaguars. A TVR, and AC Ace, as well as a 40 Buick convertible. It was obvious that Pascal's car had been run hard recently, the chrome wires were completely black up front (brake dust). So I just need to get the stuff I mentioned straightened out, and it's all great... oh, and about 100 more HP and a 5 speed.:-D

Prettiest car of the bunch!

not a Jag, but still cool!
